Exmark Introduces Rear Discharge Deck for Lazer Z S-Series

New deck delivers superior cut with increased clipping control and reduced noise

BeatriceNE (October 23, 2013) — Exmark, the brand purchased 2-to-1 over the next best-selling brand, has introduced its latest UltraCut rear discharge cutting deck as an option on its popular Lazer Z S-Series zero-turn mower. Available in 60- and 72-inch cutting widths, the UltraCut rear discharge deck offers significant benefits including increased clipping discharge control, reduced noise and the ability to trim on both sides of the cutting deck. Exmark designed the UltraCut rear discharge deck with counter-rotating blades and baffled construction to deliver the company’s signature quality of cut with an enhanced ability to cut tall grass. The reduced clipping over-processing of the new deck requires less horsepower in all cutting conditions for enhanced efficiency. According to Exmark’s Daryn Walters, the expanded availability of the Exmark’s latest deck design is a direct result of requests from customers. “A number of our top customers have been asking for a rear discharge deck option. It solves a number of challenges they face daily, including increased control of clipping discharge, reduced noise, and ease of trimming. The new UltraCut rear discharge cutting deck delivers on each of these fronts, while also providing a superior quality of cut.” The UltraCut rear discharge deck reduces clipping over-processing with a counter-rotating blade design and patented flow-control baffles. The design provides increased clipping control, uniform discharge and the ability to efficiently tackle tall grass and rough cutting conditions. For highly-manicured properties, Exmark offers its Finish Cut baffle kit, which significantly reduces visible clippings, delivering similar performance to a dedicated mulching deck, with reduced sound output and power requirements. The heavy-duty construction of the Exmark UltraCut rear discharge deck is highlighted by the use of high-strength alloy steel throughout, with fabricated, welded construction and durable, molded bumpers on both sides of the deck. The bumpers work to reduce scalping, in addition to providing deck protection. Maintenance-free Exmark Series 4 spindles feature cast aluminum housings and sealed ball bearings to provide years of commercial durability. Exmark will offer the rear discharge as an option on all 60- and 72-inch 2014 Lazer Z S-Series zero-turn mower models. A selection of EFI Kohler engines deliver robust power, enhanced efficiency, along with the increased reliability and durability landscape professionals demand.
