Durability that Raises the Bar
Fabricated, welded high-strength steel cutting decks
When it comes to long-term mower durability, fabricated and welded cutting decks are at the top of the pecking order. Every Exmark zero-turn and stand-on mower features a fabricated and fully welded cutting deck built of high-strength steel. These decks are stiffer and stronger, with superior long-term durability when compared to stamped steel cutting decks.
Fully fabricated and welded unibody frames
Exmark mowers use innovative unibody frames that are fabricated and welded of heavy-duty rectangular section steel tubing. This provides a solid, durable foundation that not only passes Exmark’s stringent test protocol, but it also performs in the real world in some of the most grueling commercial cutting conditions imaginable.
Tractus Tires
When mower tires go flat, it’s not just an inconvenience, it’s lost income for landscape pros. Exmark’s exclusive Tractus non-pneumatic drive tire system, available as an accessory on Lazer Z and Vertex models, completely eliminates flat tires. Not only that, Tractus delivers up to five times the durability of pneumatic tires, and the larger contact patch enhances mower traction and reduces turf compaction. For 2026, Exmark has launched its second-generation Tractus system. The increased load rating enables Tractus to now be used on a wider range of Exmark models.
Unitized Hydro Transmissions
In partnership with industry leader, Parker, Exmark pioneered the use of unitized hydro transmissions with the launch of the second-generation Lazer Z in 2008. Combining the hydro pump and motor into a single unit eliminates failure-prone high-pressure hoses used by traditional hydro drive systems, which employ separate hydro pump and motor units. Today, every Exmark zero-turn and stand-on mower features unitized hydro transmissions.
