Web Site Features Exmark Employees' Stories
February 05, 2008
Beatrice, NE (February 06, 2008)— Exmark, a leading manufacturer of commercial zero-turn riding mowers, is inviting the public to meet the people behind its products. A new Web site,www.exmark.com/stories, features the stories of Exmark team members—from designers to engineers, customer service associates to technicians, product managers to sales representatives.
In the features, Exmark employees describe their typical work day, their proudest moment or funniest story from work, and even their hobbies. "This Web site was created because we are extremely proud of the people on the Exmark team, and we wanted to share their stories with our customers," said Mark Stinson, Exmark president.
"Many times, the only interaction a customer has with an Exmark employee is by phone, perhaps through a customer service call. We just want everyone to know that behind every mower we produce, there is a hard working, committed group of individuals, working collaboratively to deliver the high-quality machines our customers expect."
The Web site launched in January 2008. Among the first eight stories are:
- Henry Williford, Inside Sales/Logistics Manager, who was one of Exmark's original four employees hired.
- Rob Hilton, Test Engineer, who spends his days poking and prodding Exmark mowers. As he puts it, "The main part of my job is to cause barriers and diagnose problems."
- Ronda Mewes, a Tool Crib Attendant, who races cars at the local dirt track in Beatrice and has won three championships.
Exmark will continue to post new stories throughout 2008.
