Exmark Refines, Simplifies 2015 Turf Tracer X-Series Walk-Behind Mower
Beatrice, Neb. (October 22, 2014) — Exmark today unveiled its redesigned 2015 Turf Tracer X-Series walk-behind mower. The new model includes a host of innovations and improvements that deliver increased performance and durability for landscape maintenance professionals.
Exmark Director of Marketing, Daryn Walters, said the improvements are the result of extensive testing and development, both in the Exmark test lab and at the hands of landscape professionals across the country.
“As Exmark’s premier walk-behind mower, the Turf Tracer X-Series is known for delivering maximum productivity, durability and maneuverability. We made a number of refinements to the 2015 machine to keep it on the cutting edge of performance and serviceability, with state-of-the-art powerplant options.”
Exmark increased the efficiency of the deck drive system with a new single belt system, which replaces the two belt system used on earlier machines. When combined with a heavy-duty electromagnetic PTO clutch, the system improves serviceability and reduces part count. In fact, Exmark eliminated up to 250 parts on the 2015 Turf Tracer X-Series machine with no sacrifice to performance or durability.
Walters said the simplified design of the 2015 Turf Tracer X-Series mower will provide even greater durability, with easier service than ever before.
New, Lazer Z-style belt shields provide quick, tools-free access to the deck drive system. High-strength steel lynch pins (instead of plastic knobs) on the center deck cover increase durability and accessibility for routine deck maintenance. Exmark also increased the durability of the front deck height adjustment system with a switch to abrasion-resistant steel.
The 2015 Turf Tracer X-Series features Exmark’s patented Enhanced Control System (ECS), which places all vital controls at the operator’s fingertips for precise control. The ergonomic design of the ECS system reduces control-related operator fatigue to allow operators to comfortably get more work done each day.
The Turf Tracer X-Series is available with a selection of Kawasaki and Kohler powerplants in carbureted gasoline, EFI gasoline and EFI propane configurations, and a choice of 52- or 60-inch UltraCut Series 4 cutting decks. At 5.5-inches deep, the UltraCut Series 4 cutting deck has the capacity to handle tough cutting conditions. Welded 7-gauge deck reinforcements provide superior strength and wear resistance, and new, large-flange Lazer Z-style cutter housings deliver increased long-term durability.
