Exmark Partners with BASS for 40th Anniversary "Gear Up" Giveaway

Quest Mower Awarded to Illinois Winner

BeatriceNE (July 10, 2008) — Exmark, a leading manufacturer of commercial mowers, and Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS) announced today that Wes Meyer of Murphysboro, Ill., is the winner of an Exmark Quest® zero-turn riding mower valued at $4,500. Meyer was among the more than 23,000 people who entered to win an Exmark Quest during the BASS 40th Anniversary "Gear Up" Giveaway.

Quest, Exmark's first zero-turn mower built strictly for homeowners, was a featured prize during a BASS month-long promotion. BASS partnered with industry and manufacturing leaders to give away thousands of dollars in prizes every day in June. Participants were automatically entered to win the top prize, a 2007 Bassmaster Elite Series Toyota Tundra and wrapped Triton Tr-21X2.

Mark Williams Outdoor Equipment, an Exmark dealer in Murphysboro, delivered the Quest mower to Meyer.

"Exmark was proud to partner with BASS to celebrate this milestone," said John Cloutier, senior marketing manager for Exmark. "For 40 years, BASS has been a leader in the sport fishing industry, providing fishing tips and techniques to people who are passionate about fishing. At Exmark, we have the potential to serve those same individuals with Quest, an efficient, top-quality mower that allows users to spend less time caring for their lawns and more time enjoying the great outdoors."

Quest is built with the same heavy-duty construction landscape professionals expect from an Exmark commercial-grade mower. The patented cutting-deck design results in a professional cut, and it's made with 10-gauge steel to ensure its durability. Quest comes with a 48- or 52-inch, side-discharge deck, and offers the option to bag or mulch the grass clippings.

Quest also comes with a 22- or 24-horsepower Briggs & Stratton Extended Life Series Twin-Cycle engine, or a Kohler® 23-horsepower engine. Quest delivers professional results at speeds up to 7 mph.
