Exmark Introduces Steering Wheel-Equipped Zero-Turn Rider

New Quest S-Series Front Steer delivers zero-turn performance with steering wheel ease-of-use

Beatrice, Neb. (October 22, 2014) — Exmark has redesigned its popular Quest family of zero-turn riding mowers and added a new steering wheel-equipped version. Users can now choose their preferred control setup and experience Exmark zero-turn performance and productivity.

Exmark Director of Marketing, Daryn Walters, said the new Quest models are the most affordable line of zero-turn riders the company offers, yet they deliver class-leading features and value.

“We’ve made the new Quest models more comfortable and productive, with Exmark’s renowned durability and long-term value. And the Quest S-Series Front Steer delivers unmatched ease-of-use combined with enhanced hillside performance.”

Available with a choice of 42- or 50-inch Exmark Series 2 fabricated steel cutting decks, the Quest S-Series Front Steer is ideal for users transitioning from a lawn tractor. The steerable front wheels increase hillside control and provide a familiar handling feel with true zero-turn mower performance. A standard tilt steering column eases operator access and increases comfort while mowing.

The Quest S-Series model is also available with a twin-stick control system for operators accustomed to traditional zero-turn riders. For 2015, Exmark added a 34-inch UltraCut Series 2 cutting deck option to the existing 42- or 50-inch options. The UltraCut Series 2 decks are fabricated from high-strength 10-gauge steel, and the Quest S-Series includes a standard foot pedal-operated deck lift. An upgraded 18-inch Deluxe seat features a distinctive tri-color cover and bolstered design to increase operator comfort.

The most affordable Exmark zero-turn rider, the Quest E-Series is now available with the option of a 54- or 42-inch cutting deck. The new 54-inch deck delivers unmatched productivity to make quick work of farms, acreages and other properties. All Quest E-Series machines feature an 18-inch extra-tall seat for comfort that lasts.

The revamped 2015 Quest machines are the first mowers available with Exmark’s new twin-cylinder engine.

Designed from the ground up as a zero-turn mower engine, Exmark’s 708cc V-twin engine introduces a number of new innovations that increase performance and serviceability. Exmark tuned the new engine to deliver quicker, stronger governor response to provide more power precisely when it’s needed. A standard dual-barrel carburetor delivers increased air flow for stronger performance and cast iron cylinder liners provide increased long-term engine durability.

The new Exmark engine also features an innovative air intake design that reduces dust and debris build-up with a constant flow of pre-screened air. The design of the air box cover and air filter virtually eliminate the possibility of an incorrectly installed filter allowing engine-killing dust and debris into the engine.

A standard quick-drain system eases oil changes by offering the ability to drain oil without tools. The long drain hose eliminates the messiness traditionally associated with draining the oil from the engine, and the design dramatically reduces the time required for routine oil changes.
