Exmark Adds Five Energy Efficient Mowers for 2011

New EFI Units Promote Fuel Efficiency Across Exmark’s Product Line

LouisvilleKY (October 28, 2010) — Exmark, a leading manufacturer of commercial-grade mowers, is introducing five new energy efficient units at this year’s GIE+EXPO. All are equipped with an Electronic Fuel Injected (EFI) engine. New units now available with an EFI option are the TurfTracer® X-Series, Lazer Z® S-Series, the Vantage and the Navigator®. In addition, Exmark will continue to carry the EFI option on the Lazer Z® X-Series.

The Vantage series now has a 25 hp Kohler® EFI engine option; the TurfTracer X-Series has a 21 hp Kohler EFI engine; the Navigator has a 27 hp Kohler EFI engine; the Lazer Z S-Series has the option of either a 25 or 29 hp Kohler EFI engine option; and the Lazer Z X-Series has a 29 hp Kohler EFI engine.

This entire fleet of EFI units features a state-of-the-art Kohler Command PRO EFI engine, which is the industry’s first closed loop fuel injection system. These new engines can allow the units to consume up to 25 percent less fuel than a standard carburetor-powered mower for savings that really add up over time.

“Energy efficiency is an important and growing area of focus for the landscaping industry,” said Daryn Walters, Director of Marketing at Exmark. “We believe it is part of our responsibility at Exmark to provide landscape professionals with the option of selecting an energy efficient mower when they make a purchase and we plan to continue to build on our existing line-up of energy efficient mowers over the next few years.”
