Exmark Donates $2,000 to American Legion Post 27

In honor of its veteran employees, Exmark recently donated $2,000 to Beatrice American Legion Post 27. The money will help fund the post’s effort to purchase all-weather flags for the Gage County Courthouse.

The all-weather flags will enable the flags to remain out at the courthouse, even during rain, snow or other inclement weather.

According to Exmark community giving committee member, Maggie Pryor, the flag project was easy for the giving committee to support.

“The donation not only helps beautify our community, but it also gives us an opportunity to honor and thank our veteran employees for their service,” Pryor said. “As part of the gift, a flag will be named after each of them.”

With the $2,000 donation from Exmark, the post has raised $19,000 of its $22,500 goal since June.

“We always want to find meaningful projects to support,” Pryor said. “We thought this was a great idea and we wanted to get behind it. The timing was perfect.”

Through its giving committee, Exmark supports numerous local projects each year with monetary and equipment donations, as well as volunteer projects. Visit the Exmark website to learn more about the company’s grant programs and donations.
