New stand-on aerator delivers increased productivity and reduced operator fatigue

BEATRICE, NEB. (October 19, 2017) — Today at the 2017 GIE+EXPO tradeshow, Exmark introduced the 24-inch Stand-On Aerator. The enhanced design of this new compact stand-on aerator was based off the company’s successful 30-inch Stand-On machine, and significantly increases the productivity and efficiency of lawn care professionals aerating smaller properties.

Exmark Product Manager, Lloyd von Scheliha, said the 24-inch Aerator is capable of aerating more properties in less time, with less wear and tear on employees compared to a traditional 21-inch walk-behind aerator.

“We designed the 24-inch Aerator to make quick work of small or gated properties, while retaining the productivity of a larger stand-on aerator. Because it easily fits through 36-inch gates, the new machine brings stand-on productivity to properties that were previously limited to a less productive walk-behind machine.”

The simple, intuitive and ergonomic controls of the 24-inch Stand-On make it an easy machine to operate and maneuver. The increased efficiency of the hydro drive system reduces horsepower requirements, while offering infinite speed control up to the 6.8-mph. The Smart Controller also adds a level of intelligence to this machine, by tracking machine hours, and providing maintenance reminders, while also providing a clear LCD screen, advanced settings, service resets and electronic depth control.

Electronic tine depth control offers easy, tool-less adjustment of core depth from 0.5” to 5” in half inch increments  to allow for consistent core depth throughout a property. The foot activated hydraulic tine control frees the operator’s hands to control the machine and makes it easy for operators to disengage the tines and make a quick, zero-turn maneuver. The hydraulic down force is set to the operator to uniquely provide increased stability and operator comfort, while delivering maximum efficiency.

Exmark also incorporated isolation bumpers into the operator platform to reduce bumps and vibration felt by the operator.
