After 179hrs and 6years my quest sits unusable for the 5th time. Yes another cutter assembly seized up. This is the second assembly, not to mention 3 blown pulley assembly's to date. The rep for wi came to look at my quest last year and said if you was your lawn mower after use the water gets into the bearings causing failure, don't believe it. So this year I quit using water and still I sit with failures. Funny they put a was system on the deck but water is not good for the bearings. He did give me a set of blades for my troubles though, that was great! I'm fed up with this unit and will be returning to my dealer to trade it in on another brand, maybe a Murray. I am very disappointed in this product that was supposed to be the last mower I would ever need to buy, according to the sales rep, that it drove me to actually write a review for the first time in my life. I have already been asked by three friends over the years and told them to not buy an exmark based on my troubles. I will continue to make it a point to turn people away from this inferior product when asked, as it is not fair to spen between 3-4k $ and have these type of problems and get lame excuses from the local sales rep.

    Comments about Exmark Quest E-Series:

I mow about 1.33 acres and this unit works great on that. Any larger and I would have gone to the 48" cut though. The steering takes a little getting used to but once you master the control it is excellent.

    Service and delivery comments:

The delivery took about 2 & 1/2 weeks from time of purchase. The lift gate service is a must unless you have a forklift or 3-4 strong folks to help lift it down. Well worth the $ 75 charge. No issues with damage or instruction

    Comments about Exmark Quest E-Series:

The Quest E 42" is a really good mower overall. I'm somewhat disappointed with the performance of the 452cc engine though. It's just not enough power to run a 42" ZTR in my opinion--especially if the grass is even a little moist (e.g. morning dew bogs it down). Also, the steering is very touchy. At low speeds, it is difficult to maneuver around gardens, fences, etc. because of the jumpy acceleration. This mower excels in dry, flat, open spaces. It provides an even, professional-looking cut that would please any homeowner.

Use residential, like the speed, the cut, pretty easy to get used to, as this was my first zero turn.
only Con is tires slip on inclines, so the traction is not good

            Comments about Exmark Quest E-Series:

As far a I am concerned this Exmark Quest Zero turn is a very poor quality mower, Less than 20 hours of ownership and have had to have engine worked on as it would not start, Less than 24 hours of operation and had to have a deck drive belt replaced, which cost $90.00. I would NEVER buy another Exmark Quest mower and would not recommend spending the money for one as they are very expensive as far as parts are concerned and labor at the rate of $90.00 hour is by an Authorized Repair Center is ridiculous. Very hard to maintain and extremely expensive to own. Never Again will I own a Quest Model mower.

            Service and delivery comments:

            Prompt but very expensive.
