Even though this started out slow as I had a faulty switch on mine (brake) that required replacement, I think this is the best zeroturn mower setup you can have. This mower hugs hill sides without slipping. Even with dew on the grass. Cuts around shrubs on hills without spinning a tire and digging up grass as the front wheels turn in direction you are going giving stability. Great idea and easy to use. If you can steer a car, you can drive this mower. I highly recommend you try it. I only have 12 hours on it so far but it has been impressive. Will follow up later with more comments.

If it weren't for the mulching capabilities, this is an awesome mower. The mulching kit accessory I purchased needs another deck mounting point or it will sag, and it doesn't mulch very well on my Zeon Zoysia lawn. I'm taking less than a half inch off the top of dry grass. I purchased an aftermarket mulching blade and that has helped a little. I usually double cut the grass in hopes that the mulch will be re-mulched, but end up spending more time blowing grass clippings off the lawn than I do mowing it. Yes, I do have the blades installed correctly.

The engine is strong and the speed is fast. I bought a steering wheel model because I thought my wife might want to mow the lawn in a pinch and this would make it easier. I was wrong on two accounts:

1. She isn't ever going to mow the lawn, ever.
2. Steering it can require a bit of strength in some turning situations that I don't think she would be into that. It doesn't bother me, but something to know.

Everything about the mower's construction screams quality. It looks good, starts good and it's easy to maintain.

It's a bummer that the mulching isn't very good.

Comments about Exmark Quest S-Series Front Steer:

Maneuvering around flower beds & trees are breeze now!
The 50" fabricated mowing deck is sturdy. I nicked the rock wall and it took it well.
Options such as bagger, mulching etc...are very very over priced from the dealer[:(?
$16 oil filter, really?? That is why I'm giving 4 not 5 stars on this review.
Dollar for dollar this is the right chose, versus the big box junk mowers.
My motto is pay now (for well built mowers) or pay later (for big box junk mowers).

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was excellent, service I can't comment at this time.
Oil change is a breeze for the DIY'ers.
Love the air filter access!
I use a backpack leaf blower to clean my mower.
I pull out the filter for a quick cleaning, done!

Comments about Exmark Quest S-Series Front Steer:

The Quest is a huge upgrade over our old Craftsman lawn tractor. I get the job done faster, and am not nearly as tired. It does use a little more gas, but that is outweighed by its ability to maneuver and handle slopes. The cut is much better and the amount of grass that is under the deck is much less. Clean up takes some time, but part of that is because I am inspired to keep the Quest in pristine condition.

    Service and delivery comments:

It took little while for the unit to be available, but once it arrived it has worked beautifully.

        Service and delivery comments:

No matter which MFG I would have bought, each Sales location is >20 miles away. I do not own a trailer. Therefore I don't have an 'local' dealers of any MFG close by, so, I wanted a unit that would run, and run. I'm not adverse to doing maintenance, and engine oil/filter change was a breeze!

My husband brought the Exmark home for me because I love to mow fast. My old mower did a poor job when I went too fast but the Exmark leaves a beautiful lawn. We have a fairly steep slope by the lake and the Exmark handles it nicely where I felt 'tippy' with our last mower. I questioned switching but now I wouldn't give up my Exmark! I love it.

I wanted a zero turn that I was sure my wife would be able to use as she does most of our mowing. The steering wheel does exactly that. I'm very happy with my purchase. I also like the welded deck. Just feels like high quality stuff.

            Service and delivery comments:

Purchased from our local True Value store at the end of the season last year. He had in stock. There were some great incentives for end of season purchase
