Exmark Manufacturing, Toro Giving Program Donate Mowers to Community Organizations

BeatriceNE (May 19, 2010) — Exmark Manufacturing and the Toro Giving Program recently donated zero-turn riding mowers to two community organizations and a public school in southeast Nebraska.

The Tecumseh Ball Association, the Beatrice YMCA, and Tri-County Public School are each the recipients of a new Exmark® Next Lazer® Z. The organizations were selected based on need, as well as the benefits they deliver to the communities they serve, said Mark Stinson, president of Exmark.

"Exmark is very proud of our southeast Nebraska roots, and pleased to partner with the Toro Giving Program to support causes and organizations that do good work for people in the area," Stinson said.

The Tecumseh Ball Association maintains three competition fields that are home to six baseball teams and eight softball teams. The nonprofit organization receives most of its operating income from sign-up fees for youth players. The lawnmower donation will help the Association keep fees as minimal as possible, allowing more youth to participate, said Kim Beethe, treasurer of the Tecumseh Ball Association.

Tri Country Public School is a state-accredited K-12 school in a rural area south of DeWitt, Neb., about 17 miles northwest of Beatrice. Students from Jefferson, Saline and Gage counties attend the school.

The Beatrice Mary Family YMCA has served Beatrice and surrounding communities for 125 years.

The Toro Giving Program is committed to beautifying and preserving outdoor environments, enhancing communities and improving peoples' lives. Beatrice-based Exmark Manufacturing is the leading manufacturer of commercial mowers for landscape professionals.
