There are times—like when the lawn is enormous and the grass is swaying in the breeze—that only a diesel will do. For those jobs, there’s the Lazer Z DS-Series. This heavy-duty, commercial Z is powered by a Kubota® liquid-cooled diesel engine that’s earned a reputation for being basically bulletproof. Choose either a 60- or 72-inch Series 5 cutting deck, now available with rear discharge for cemeteries, municipalities or other applications where you need to more effectively control discharge. The DS-Series is also biodiesel-ready for reduced emissions and environmental impact. Which makes it the heavyweight champion of green—grass and environment.
- Lower temps = longer life: The DS-Series radiator is positioned to take advantage of maximum airflow. And it’s wavy screen effectively increases the exposed surface area, further improving its cooling efficiency.
- Give it some air: We equipped the DS-Series with a canister air filtration system to ensure proper fuel/air mixture even in the dustiest conditions. And that can quickly add up to significant fuel savings.
- Frame strength: Given the extreme mowing conditions the DS-Series is intended to handle, its frame has to be extraordinarily strong. As in heavy-duty, welded, tubular-steel strong. Which is exactly what it is.
