Exmark Partners with ECHO Canada, Brings the Red Fleet to Wider Audience
ECHO’s coast-to-coast dealer network to receive Exmark products
Louisville,
KY
(November 11, 2011)
— Exmark, the leading manufacturer of mowers for lawn care professionals, announced a strategic partnership with the Canada Division of ECHO. This partnership opens the door for Exmark to distribute products to more than 800 dealers in the Canadian marketplace.
Much like Exmark, ECHO delivers the highest quality products to their customers and constantly evaluates how best to meet the needs of their landscape contractors.
“The partnership with ECHO was a no-brainer,” shared Rick Olson, president of Exmark. “There are many similarities between our companies, our approach to service and our relentless commitment to quality. We couldn’t be happier about this partnership.”
ECHO Power Equipment (Canada) will begin to service Exmark dealers as of November 1, 2011 with the full fleet in place no later than January 2012.
“We are excited to be associated with Exmark” commented ECHO Power Equipment Canada’s president, Ed Zynomirski. “They are a first rate organization that shares many of the same corporate values as our company, including Value, Integrity and Performance (VIP). With their industry leading products and our strength of distribution across Canada, we look
forward to gaining a greater share of the commercial landscape market.” The Canadian Division of ECHO began as a service parts and accessory unit and quickly expanded into a small distribution and shipping warehouse based in Brampton, Ontario. ECHO Power Equipment (Canada) was established in 1985 to support a market for ECHO power tools that was beginning to spread from coast-to- coast.
ECHO’s Canadian operations moved to London, Ontario, in 1989 and began dealer direct sales in 1990.Three separate expansions of its warehouse facilities now supply the full lineup of ECHO power equipment plus a wide range of specialized commercial and pro gardening tools. Today, ECHO Power Equipment (Canada) currently operates with locations in Calgary, Alberta; Lachute, Quebec and their head office in London, Ontario.

Exmark Adds Turf Management Products, Sets Tone for 2012
Additional products for landscape contractors part of President Olson’s vision
Louisville,
KY
(October 27, 2011)
— Exmark, the leading manufacturer of mowers for lawn care professionals, announced today at GIE+Expo it is expanding its equipment line to include five commercial-grade turf management products. These products are part of Exmark President Rick Olson’s larger vision for the company and its future.
“Our customers expressed their desire for Exmark to offer an even broader range of commercial products,” shared Olson. “They expect to experience the same performance, service and support as they have with our commercial-grade cutting equipment--and we are confident they will.”
With the landscape pro at the core of Exmark’s vision, Olson believes these new products represent a logical extension for the Exmark brand. In addition to their premium quality, these products contain technology that will help improve our landscape customers’ productivity and bottom line.
Addition of Five Turf Management Products
Available for sale starting in the spring of 2012, the newest additions to Exmark’s lineup include aerators, a slicer seeder and a turf rake.
“These new products will follow the blueprint for success just as our commercial mowers have. The products also provide a spring board for future product line extensions.”
The aerators will be available in a 21” S-Series single hydro, a 24” X-Series dual hydro and a 30” Stand-On. Exmark’s aerators are designed to be easy to maneuver and operate. The split tines allow for easier turning, reversibility, and are self-cleaning and easy to replace.
Another product within the turf management line is the 20” Slicer Seeder. The seeders have wide, stable bases that deliver hillside stability and even cutting patterns. Each product has verticutting reels to improve turf density and help control thatch, weeds and weed grasses.
Exmark’s 18” Turf Rake is the fifth product within the turf management line. The lightweight, intuitive turf rake includes 24 flail blades that remove heavy thatch and bring increased oxygen and sunlight to the turf.
Commitment to Core Products Has Never Been Stronger
Although the addition of turf management broadens Exmark’s business services, the company will continue to focus its efforts on advancing the core products that made it the industry leader in landscaping—mowers.
“Our company’s success came as a result of our mowers,” shared Olson. “Our commitment to mowing technology has never been stronger. We continue to look forward as we improve and innovate our products to meet the needs of our customers.”
Keeping in lock-step with the company’s commitment to improve core products, Exmark unveiled three new models of cutting equipment. The 60” Pioneer S-Series, 60” Vantage and a 50” Quest S-Series will be available to customers in 2012.
